February 15, 2024:  The University of Nairobi's Department of Journalism hosted its first-ever Film Festival on Wednesday, February 15, 2024, showcasing the exceptional work of their final year students. The event whose theme was "Documentary Storytelling as a Catalyst for Social Transformation," saw over 25 documentaries tackling diverse social issues and human narratives come to life in the Chandaria Auditorium, UON Towers.

February 12, 2024:  In a first of its kind, the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication - University of Nairobi held a film festival showcasing film projects for the 4th year class.

December 19, 2023:  The University of Nairobi's Taifa Hall became a stage for raw truth and poignant exploration last week from 8th to 9th December, 2023 with the captivating drama "Botched," presented by the renowned Theatre of the Absurd; A joint initiative of the Faculty of Law and Department of Journalism, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. This powerful production, transcending mere entertainment, tackled critical issues of sexual and reproductive health, leaving a lasting impact on students and young audiences across borders.
