July 15, 2022: We wish to appreciate Prof. David Blumenkrantz of California State University, Northridge, USA for visiting the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (DOJMC), University of Nairobi to donate a total of eight (8) books documenting eight (8) years of living/working in Kenya and the general East Africa region (1987-1994).
July 7, 2022: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication held a capacity workshop of youth organizations in Mathare on July 7, 2022 at the Korean Corner, Education Building, Main Campus, University of Nairobi. Some of the topics that were covered included: Understanding Organizational Governance, Sound Organizational Management, Program Management, Human Resource and Membership and Financial Management. The Department continues to bridge the gap between academia and industry in empowering the local community using the research undertaken.
